About The AJGA Atlanta Classic

Since its inception in 2009, the AJGA Atlanta Classic has brought together some of the top junior golfers in the world to compete annually in the Greater Atlanta Metro Area. This event has garnered a number of accolades and continues to be a premier tournament on the AJGA’s national schedule.

Each year the tournament is preceded by a Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament that brings together local amateurs and some of the game’s future stars for an unforgettable round of golf supporting local charities. This tournament has raised over $650,000 for benefiting charities. Since 2020, this tournament has brought an estimated $748,277 in local economic impact to the Fayette County community.

About the AJGA

MISSION STATEMENT

The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

MEMBERSHIP

The largest Association of its kind, the AJGA has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-19) of more than 7,300 junior golfers from 50 states and 60 foreign countries.

AJGA ALUMNI

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. More than 200 former AJGA juniors currently play on the PGA and LPGA Tours and have compiled more than 830 wins.

Benefiting Charities for 2025

The Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.

The Horschel Family Foundation passionately invests in communities by partnering with organizations that inspire hope, provide healing, promote health and honor our soldiers.

The Fayette Fire Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance fire and emergency medical services within the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency services by seeking donations, grants and other funding opportunities and distributing those funds in a manner that will benefit the department and its employees who provide these critical services to the citizens of Fayette County.
